An investigation of in-camera manipulation to highlight movement’s efforts and intentions in a live, stage dance performance.

Of Being (2017)
I developed this series to create a sense of individualism within a community. I wanted to express the idea that our environment, the people around us, the clothes we wear, and how we react in different circumstances, all make up our being.
We Are All Going (2015)
This series was created in conjunction with a stage dance work. I wanted to experiment with how to take dance off the stage and communicate the same themes through still images. I used the environment to replace the sound score, and used natural lighting within different times of day to mimic the theatrical lighting from the stage.
